  1. Happy and Blessed Birthday!!! Shared your beautiful giveaway on Facebook.
My favourite birthday memory is the fabulous themed birthday parties my Mom would do for me. She would bake a gorgeous cake and do treat boxes and lots of fun party games.

  2. Happy Birthday - thank you for having a comp for us on YOUR special day! I have shared the comp on twitter, how exciting!
My favourite birthday memory would probably be something that my parents started when we were very little and which I have continued to do with my family now - the birthday girl/boy get's to wake up and choose absolutely anything they want for breakfast. Be it cake, bacon and eggs, macaroni and cheese or a Spur burger! Coming from a family of 7 it always made each of us feel super special, which is why I still do it for my family today. (So not actually one memory, but a memory that I get to relive every year!) Hope you enjoy the rest of your day xxx

  7. I had a lovely birthday this year. My husband was away overseas, but he organised for various friends to drop off bunches of flowers and gifts throughout the course of the day. Even though he wasn't with me, I felt incredibly spoilt!

  8. Happy Birthday Nadia! May your year be filled with love and happiness. You deserve it. Shared your giveaway on Facebook and Twitter. My favourite birthday memory has to be when in high school, the girls in my group of friends would "kidnap" each other on their birthdays. Every
birthday, they would wake me up really early and not let me change out of my
pajamas. I also couldn't comb my hair, brush my teeth or even look in the
mirror. Then they would take me out to a restaurant for breakfast in that dishevelled state.
Those yearly birthday breakfasts are some of my favourite memories! Holding thumbs ;) Much love xxxx

  11. Happy blessed birthday to you! We should be giving you the gifts, not the other way round! But like you, would rather do the giving than the receiving. I love going to other peoples' birthday parties and making memories for them. So, I don't have any of my own to share!

  12. HAPPY BIRTHDAY Nadia :) Seems awesome people celebrate in August.
My birthday is 13 August so this may just be one of my favorite birthday memories if I win.
But the one I hold dear to me at the moment is my 21st. To have everyone, including my dad who stays far away and I don't see that often there was just such a blessing! It wasn't long after that, that we had to say bye to my gran, so I have the memories of all the special people in my life all in one place as well as the happy photos of everyone. To top it all off, when I walked into the hall where I was having it I was full of goosies, I had decorated during the day but had NO idea how amazing it would look that night. Fairy lights everywhere, it really was such a special day and a memory I will forever cherish

  13. Hope you've been having a lovely day lovely lady x
My favourite birthday memory is not for my birthday, but for my goddaughters, for whom I bake a cake each year as a surprise, based on her party theme. Her face each year is priceless and it warms my heart every time.Problem is, the older she gets, the more elaborate the cakes get and I'm no cake boss!!! oh the pressure! ;)

  14. Happy birthday pretty Nads! And thank you for such a wonderful giveaway! I have loved all my birthdays from a crime/detective 13th birthday to a disco themed 18th birthday and a cowboys and indians 21st! The last few birthdays have been smaller, special high teas, dinners and drinks with special family and friends. My 26th birthday was a truly special one as I had a high tea for all my girl friends, drinks with all our friends and then next morning, I found out we were pregnant with our little SJ - best birthday present ever!! x

  15. happy birthdaaayyy!!! I hope you are having lots of cupcakes and tea and spoiled with love! my most favourite birthday memory was when i was in school. my family loves birthdays and always makes a big fuss about it but for some reason the one year it felt like everyone forgot my birthday. i was so sad at school and just didn't enjoy that birthday at all. the next day i went back to school and my one teacher said she wanted to see me at break in her classroom. when i got there my friends had thrown me a big surprize birthday party to make up for the horrible day i had before on my birthday! i cried tears of joy by the buckets. it was so special that they would go through so much trouble. there was cake, and sweets and banners and balloons. they went all out. i am still friends with them today and will cherish that forever! i love birthdays. my boyfriend is not a huge birthday fan and slowly, year by year i am converting him to become a birthday lover. its his birthday this Wednesday and i have planned BIG surprizes for him! when im done with him he is going to LOVE birthdays!!

My favorite memory is all the birthday cakes that my mother baked for me. Each year i would get my very own cake that my mother baked with all the love in the world. Those cakes have also inspired my dream for becoming a pastry chef one day xxx

My favourite Birthday memory is from my 21st! we spent the whole day turning an outside venue into a fairy land...and as people started arriving...it started POURING down with rain! We had to relocate EVERYTHING (including a sheep on the spit) 5km away to undercover!
It turned out amazing though and everyone chipped in and had fun and it was just wonderful and trully memorable!

  22. Happy Birthday friend!
    I'm sharing via instagram.

My favorite birthday memory is my 40th - I flew to Singapore to celebrate my birthday, and as I actually landed on my birthday, the cabin crew brought me a cake and card and sang happy birthday to me, which resulted in those sitting close to me joining in. my husband also arranged for me to be collected from the airport by a limo, and had my hotel room filled with flowers, fruit and yet another birthday cake! as birthdays go, it was pretty awesome!

  23. Happy Birthday! My favourite birthday memory is of my 4th birthday when my gran flew from America to Knysna just for the day. I hadn't seen her in 2 years and it was an amazing day (plus there was a jumping castle!)

Aaaah the memories - sitting on a picnic blanket, sipping on red wine, eating delish snacks and watching the fireworks at Battersea Park, surrounded by special friends and family! Can't ask for more than that now, can you?

My favourite birthday memory was of my 5th birthday. My parents invited all my friends and took us to the Wimpy for ice cream. We had so much fun and I got some great stickers which I decorated my cupboards with when I got home!

  34. Happy birthday to you! My son turned 13 yesterday. Big day for him, but I don't see how I can be old enough to have a 13 year old. My favorite birthday memory... my father always professed to despise cats and I always wanted one. On my 11th birthday he told me to go outside and look inside his car when he came home from work... and a tiny black and white kitty sat on the passenger seat. Instant true love.

  35. I hope you had a super stunning Birthday and opened at least 5 presents on the day! And ate lots of cake! (",)
I will never forget my 14th birthday disco in my lounge in one of the best homes I ever lived in. I had all my savvy classmates come over for a boozless "rave" of which we put the song 'Bellisima' on repeat and made box shape dance moves and squeeked some takkie. It was fabulous. Chuckle!

Thanks for the stunning post - always such a generous person Hun. Here's to another year of being fabulously brilliant! XXX

  36. Thanks for opening this up to international readers too! I shared this post on Facebook.

So hard to pick just one birthday memory . . . but my 8th birthday especially sticks out in my memory because several of my friends got to ride home from school with me on the bus. I looked forward to that bus ride all day. We lived out in the country on a farm at that time, so it was a big deal to have them all ride home with me. My mom had planned a scavenger hunt all over our big yard, and my dad manned the tree swing for the afternoon--throwing the rope up to us in the tree fort so we could swing down from it. We played outside almost the whole party--I don't even remember the presents or cake from that day, just all the fun I had with my friends and how my parents were so involved in making it possible. :)

I shared this on FB and my blog http://lily-cats.tumblr.com My favourite memory of a birthday is when my husband then my boyfriend on our second date, took me to Spier wine farm for horse back riding and a picnic then he took me to get my first tattoo (a cat paw in a heart). 42. Happy Belated Birthday! Mine is a week before yours (July 29 :). Hope you had a great one! My birthdays haven't been great lately- this year we moved the day after, so we spent the day packing and cleaning, and last year I had a migraine- so I guess my favorite would be a few years ago, my 22nd I think, when we had a big Mexican dinner with a bunch of friends.

  44. A very happy happy birthday to you! I think this is a few days shy but with just as much love all the same.

I'm just going to throw it out there to the blog fairies that my 27th birthday is actually on the closing date of this glorious little giveaway! Just you know, incase.

My favorite birthday memory was the day i turned 13. My present was to choose my own bedroom decor and it started this week long bonding and shopping time with my mom. Choosing fabric so her and her friend could sew the covers, cushions etc. And not to be forgotten - the gaudiest purple paint for the walls and yellow sunflower pictures (?). Nevertheless, my mom gave me the best present of lots of time spent doing DIY with her.

Sending lots of love your way x

To celebrate my new business as a Makeup Artist, he gave me a stunning business card holder with glitter on top and the word "sparkle" engraved in it. He also made me a flower crown. Needless to say......................he is now my husband!!!!! We celebrate our joint birthdays every year on 21 August :)
